Chicken Tacos

When we were eating nothing but fast food in college, chicken tacos–you were there. When we were sunburned at the beach and craving a meaty snack, tacos–you were there. And now that we’ve charred tomatillos and garlic into a pungent salsa verde, tacos, you’re still here. Forget about cheese, sour cream, or lettuce–the juicy chicken, seasoned with cumin and chopped onion and garlic, that stands on its own. After that, roasted salsa verde brings the grilled chicken to exciting flavor heights. A few slices of fresh, creamy avocado, lime wedges, and some torn cilantro leaves give these tacos the guac feel without the guac work. Hey there taco freaks! Fire up Knorr’s delicious Chicken Tacos made with a few simple ingredients. A recipe that is quick, and easy to prepare in 10 minutes. After that, this is as easy to cook in an additional 10 minutes. This makes a great family meal on a tight budget, and healthy enough to devour!

Ingredients Needed:

2 Tablespoons of olive oil, 1 large green bell pepper, 1 medium yellow onion, 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken thighs, 2 teaspoons of Knorr’s Chicken Flavor Bouillon or 1 Knorr’s Chicken Flavor Bouillon Cube, crumbled, 1 tea spoon of ground cumin, 1 tomato, 1/4 bunch fresh cilantro, 6 corn tortillas, 5 Tablespoons of Sour Cream.

Chicken Tacos Cooking Directions:

  1. Heat loive oil in large non-stick skillet over high heat. Meanwhile, quickly slice green peppers and onions and cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Add all to skillet, sprinkle with Knorr’s Chicken flavor Bouillon and cumin and cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender and chicken is thoroughly cooked about 6 minutes. 2) While vegetables and chicken are cooking, dice tomatoes, coarsely chop cilantro and warm tortillas. 3) Even spoon cooked chicken and vegetables onto tortillas and evenly top with sour cream, tomato and cilantro. Serve with fresh lime or hot sauce if desired.
